Accommodations
Bedchambers
As a guest in the atmospheric
setting of our medieval castle, we do not expect you to accept
medieval living conditions! All of our bedchambers are tastefully
furnished in period style, have central heating, tea and coffee
making facilities, telephones and en-suite bath or shower rooms.
Please note that bedchambers do not have televisions or radios.

Mary
Queen of Scots
On the State Room level, the Mary Queen of Scots Bedchamber has
a Double Four Poster Bed with en-suite shower room.
Earl
of Bothwell
On the State Room level, the Earl of Bothwell Bedchamber has
a Double Four Poster Bed with en-suite shower room.
Lord
Borthwick
On the Great Hall level, the Lord Borthwick bedchamber has a
queen-sized double bed and en-suite bathroom.
The
Red Room
Just below the State Room, the Red Room has a double Four Poster
bed and en-suite shower room.
The
Gatehouse Tower
Separate, but only 100 yards from the main Castle building, the
Gatehouse comprises 2 rooms: Tower 1, twin room with bath and
Tower 2 has a double Four Poster Bed, kitchenette and bathroom.

Guests will wonder at the miracle
of the stone mason's art embodied in the spiral staircases, the
fourteen foot thickness of the walls and the magnificent twin
towers which stand 100 feet high from the dungeons to the battlements.
