Whisky Tours
Scotland has so much to offer and is unashamedly scenic in any
season. It is impossible to put into words the beauty of a summer
sunset over a highland loch; the changing hue of the autumn countryside;
the stillness of a crisp winter morning or the joy of a fresh
spring day.Scotch Whisky is unique. No other drink in the world
is so imbued with the character of the land of its birth, so
deeply woven into its history and culture, so rich in character
and associations. And nowhere in Scotland are these associations
more in evidence than in Western Argyll, the Kintyre Peninsula
and the Western Isles. Yes there is life after Speyside!
Most distilleries welcome visitors, and a tour of a working distillery
is a fascinating experience. Not only will you learn a great
deal about the art and science of whisky making, but you'll also
find yourself absorbed by the sights, sounds and smells that
surround you. And of course the best part of all - the tasting
of a "wee dram"!!! Some of the great distilleries and
malt whisky in our area, including Laphroaig and Bowmore in Islay,
Springbank at Campbeltown.
